Assignment 4
Recall assignment 2. The C program - person_female_30_50.c designed in assignment 2 prints two numbers of household IDs (HIDs) and person IDs (PIDs) with an input file (test.txt).
In assignment 4, design a C program (1) creating 10 processes (10 children) to find the numbers of HIDs and PIDs with the same input file (test.txt) (2) letting the 10 processes read the separated part of the input file, and (3) collecting all the numbers of HIDs and PIDs in a parent process.
Figure 1. The architectue of Assigmnet 4
Once 10 child processes are created, you must design four steps as illustrated in Figure 1. A parent process must split the input file into 10 different parts, and 10 processes must read each part and return their outputs to the parent. The parent prints two summations of all the HIDs and PIDs from 10 children.
Submit your C program and a screenshot showing its output.
