SCENARIO

FSEC-SS CASH REGISTER SYSTEM

APU Cybersecurity club is an active club in organizing cybersecurity related workshops and hacking competition activities. The club need to gain money from all the activities to organize their annual event which is called Battle of Hackers Competition.

Assume, you are a member of the club, you are required to develop a simple system to list all the workshops, challenges and activities that organize by the club for the current year. You need to display the fee/charges for all the activities listed. The system will allow the students to choose the workshop, challenges and activities that they would like to join and sum the total amount that they need to pay to the club. You may consider of giving 50% discount for the club members to join those activities. Besides that, you may consider in setting the limit number of participants that can join those activities. You are free to design the system based on your creativity in terms of interface design and system functionality.

What is your task?

You, as a technical team in FSEC-SS, you are required to develop an assembly language program for the above-mentioned case study using TASM and TLINK.

1. Design main menu for the system that list down the name of the workshops, challenges and activities that organize by the club. Provide necessary code to perform basic arithmetic operations to find out the simple calculation.

2. You are expected to demonstrate creativity in develop an application using assembly language prototype that can deal with the requirements as stated in the scenario above. You may address (if necessary) any other aspects of control of the application.

3. You have to work on the prototype individually.

4. You are permitted to make assumptions where necessary. These assumptions are expected to be logical and must be appropriate for the situation at hand.

5. There will be a presentation towards the submission date of the project. You are expected to demonstrate how your system can address the requirements to the Cybersecurity advisors, president, and the members of the club.

6. The submission of your project should entail the following items:

a. Documentation should include the following:

i. Research and analyse the contribution of assembly language in any THREE (3) applications.

ii. Research on how the low-level language is being used in cybersecurity and forensic fields. Your research may include on malware analysis and reverse engineering.

iii. System Design using flowchart.

b. Softcopy user manual or guide that can explain how your system works. This will be based on your system application.

7. Your completed documentation should meet the following requirements:
