Mega Millions $31 million winning ticket sold at Woburn gas station

According to the Massachusetts Lottery, the one winning ticket for the $31 million Mega Millions drawing was purchased in Woburn.

The Gibbs gas station on Winn Street in Woburn, according to the lottery, was where the ticket was bought. Nobody offered any commentary Wednesday morning at the petrol station.

The Mega Millions website states that $16.5 million is the one-time cash option for the prize.

Another $31 million Mega Millions winner was found in Massachusetts precisely one week ago. This ticket was purchased at a Belchertown Stop & Shop.

The Mega ball was number 13, and the winning numbers were 7-9-18-29-39.

A $50,000 bonus will be given to the petrol station for selling the winning ticket.

It's like catching lightning in a bottle twice, said Mark William Bracken, interim executive director of the Mass Lottery, of the consecutive wins.

Mega Millions prize winners have one year from the drawing date to collect their winnings.
