Greensboro man plans to give back with $100,000 Powerball win

WGHP — GREENSBORO, N.C. Danny Lackey, a resident of Greensboro, declared that he intended to use his $100,000 Powerball prize to help others in need.

We've identified a handful of folks who we want to assist," Lackey said.

On the NC Lottery app, Lackey purchased his winning $3 Quick Pick ticket.

In the drawing on February 4, Lackey won $50,000 after matching the numbers on four white balls and the red Powerball.

When the 2X Power Play multiplier activated, the reward increased to $100,000.

I may not have told you, but I've been purchasing some tickets online, but we won $100,000," Lackey told his wife.

At the lottery's headquarters on Friday, he accepted his award.
