Texas Lottery scratch off game awards $20M to Boerne resident

One Texas Hill Country homeowner won big on a Texas Lottery scratch-off ticket while everyone else was playing the Powerball and Mega Millions lottery games.

According to a news release, a Boerne resident has become a multi-millionaire after winning $20 million on a scratch-off ticket.

According to the advertisement, the $20 million reward was the second of four top prizes totaling $20 million awarded during the game.

The ticket was bought at M & F Food Mart in Boerne, Texas, at 814 E. Blanco Road.

Since its creation in 1992, the Texas Lottery has generated nearly $36.2 billion in revenue, of which $30.3 billion has been donated to the Foundation School Fund.

The statement states that the fund aids the state's public schools.

The Boerne resident chose to maintain his anonymity. The $20 Million Supreme game was featured on the winning ticket.

The Texas Lottery has also given more than $202 million to Texas veterans.
